Leaving home for Basic Military Training right after high school was one of the biggest shifts of my life. I remember looking back at my house, feeling excitement and nerves, knowing I was stepping into something completely unknown. The first days were intense: early mornings, challenging drills, and a routine that felt worlds away from home. But Basic Military Training taught me resilience and teamwork and that I could handle more than I ever thought possible. Those lessons became a part of me, and they’ve shaped how I approach everything, including my path in finance.I switched my major to finance a year ago, and I haven’t looked back. I’ve made the Dean’s List each semester since and fully dove into learning about investment management, derivatives, and wealth management. The lessons I have learned from managing my investment portfolios and being part of the Auburn Finance Society have been invaluable. These experiences have sharpened my analytical skills and confirmed my passion for building financial strategies.Now, I’m eager to take on a Summer 2025 internship where I can bring this mix of discipline, dedication, and drive to a finance or accounting team. I’m especially interested in roles where I can get hands-on with data analysis, financial modeling, and strategic planning, and I’m excited to make a real impact while learning from the best in the field.
