During my time at Great Dane, I dealt with many hardware troubleshooting issues involving computers, printers, scanners, and many other one off products that the plant used. Between calling support, or contacting my peers at other plant locations, I was tasked with figuring out the issues at the plant. I was also in charge of looking into issues with the machines in the plant if they had issues with internet connectivity.As the only IT technician on-site, I had to manage IT issues for end-users from the front office, and from the plant. I assisted with some remote issues at other plants, whether it be common issues that I had seen, or just helping another technician figure out a problem.On top of the common day to day issues like resetting passwords, or helping people with random errors, I was a part of many different projects throughout my time there. The biggest project was PC Refresh, and I was able to organize and maintain replacing a total of ~80 computers in the matter of three months. I was also apart of a project to replace UPS's in different locations.My experience at Great Dane as my first job in the IT field, was very helpful in seeing many different aspects of IT, especially in the manufacturing industry. I was also glad to be able to build on my customer service skills with many different levels of employees.

As an intern at Georgia Technologies, I learned the aspects of what it meant to be an IT technician. I saw that not only was it about helping end user's solve issues, it was also about making meaningful connections, and knowing how to talk with people in stressed situations. I was able to see and learn about Network architecture, IT security measures, and all the programs and server applications. I was not able to get much hands-on, but the knowledge that I learned about the IT world was inspiring.

Throughout my time at Ogeechee Area Hospice, I have learned better social skills and handling sensitive information. I have answered many telephone calls and have been a messenger between the public and the nurses working at the time. I have talked and calmed people in times of sadness and played piano for them at Hospice. I always tried to make people feel welcome once they came in to the building.

Performed many troubleshooting tasks within this internship. Learned to be more proactive when doing and planning out tasks. During this internship, I have troubleshooted with a Devialet Speaker setup and it's software issues. I have used online forums to better understand tasks that I may get stuck on. I have done a lot of research on Google Drive and certain issues that may arise. I have also dealt with Google Backup and Sync to backup important documents at Rolling Monkey.
