From a young age, I gained hands-on experience in construction and various handyman projects alongside my father, grandfather, and great-grandfather on the family farm and in their garage. This early exposure fostered my love for projects and problem-solving. In high school, I balanced sports with practical work, subcontracting service work and repairs for property owners in Oxford, Ohio, while also assisting with gardening shows, building stage sets for drama, running model train shows, and landscaping at Miami University. These experiences sparked my interest in project design and layout. I pursued a degree in interior design at Mount Saint Joseph University, where I was also a member of the wrestling team. During this time, I worked for an accountant and property owner, gaining valuable insights into business management. This background inspired me to become an electrician’s apprentice, continuing my family’s legacy in skilled trades. My career progressed from high-voltage work to low-voltage systems as a fire alarm technician/inspector/programmer, where I discovered my passion for analyzing designs and identifying issues. This path led me to a role as a quality control inspector in an electrical manufacturing plant, where I’ve been able to integrate my background in construction and inspection. Additionally, I founded my own construction and property management company, STK Co-Op Handling LLC. This dual role not only allows me to enhance my skills as a mechanical engineer and electrical safety inspector but also to apply my diverse experiences in a meaningful way.JCS
