I went straight into work out of high school and have had three jobs since then. Out of all of them, the job I’ve currently held down the longest has been my work at ACME as a warehouse manager. Out of high school, my first job was with Amazon as a Packer. My responsibilities on the line included packaging items into boxes at a rate of a “box-and-a-half” per minute, and on some days I would man the tape machine which involved taping the packages as well as general maintenance to the machine. Some days, we were scheduled to the docks where we would put packages into the back of trucks. I worked there for four months before I quit.Walmart was my next job, and there I worked as a seasonal helper for the Black Friday and holiday season. I worked primarily in Electronics, but as a seasonal employee I worked generally wherever they put me. I discovered I have an ability to engage with customers and enjoy helping them out. After the season’s close, I was offered a position in Lawn and Garden but declined due to a lack of interest in the position.Finally, my latest job at ACME Brick Tile & Stone as a warehouse manager. I have retained this position for two and a half years, and have learned the most from this job in that time. As warehouse manager, my job involved engaging with regular customers, reorganizing the warehouse, managing stock quantities, handling deliveries both inbound and outgoing, use of a forklift, and others which I don’t have space to list. Out of my prior professional endeavors, this one was the one which allowed me to learn about a job in a fun and challenging way, whilst gaining some valuable experience in both my personal and professional life. I’d be willing to talk more in-depth about it to anyone curious.I might be young, but I’m willing to work with someone if they’re willing to work with me.
