The labs field of research was Circadian Biology. I performed wet-lab and computational research with Graduate Student Jackie Pelham to understand the role of the negative arm circadian clock protein FREQUENCY in various cellular processes of the filamentous fungus N. crassa. Specific accomplishments include, identifying interacting partners of the isoforms of FREQUENCY, producing FREQUENCY mono-isoform strains of N. crassa, determining the period of those strains through Race Tube Analysis, and computationally explored the impact of circadian phosphorylation on core clock proteins FREQUENCY and WHITE COLLAR 1. In this work, I completed a senior thesis, was funded for the FREQUENCY interaction work, and served as a paid Undergraduate Lab Technician that produced media and buffers as necessary, performed regular cleaning and supply restocking, and aided in various experiments as directed.

Oversaw ~250 residents and a staff of 4-7 Resident Assistants over the course of three academic semesters. Held staff meetings and one on ones with Resident Assistants to assure residents were being helped and jobs were being accomplished. Lead a series of programs to engage with residents, and oversaw the direct implementation of new Office of Student Living and Learning policies on resident interactions.
