In this new position I will be managing every portable product from 24 HP to 800 HP. I am working with multiple engineers and the Portable Engineering R&D Department.

At Sullivan Palatek, I have designed 3 complete packages so far that include Tier 3&4 engines. I selected and designed every piece of the machines from the tires to the trailer lights to the exhaust cover. In the process of each design I have worked with the engine manufacturers (CAT,Cummins, John Deere, Deutz, etc) and cooler manufacturers to derive the best selection of engine options to allow the most flexibility of the package. Every package was designed to work with at least 4 different engines and at least 2 different compressor units. I have worked with engines from 173 HP up to 800 HP and have not failed an engine audit in any way on the first go. In these designs I have put, what I feel, is the industry leading compressor controller from Murphy Innovations. With training and guidance from Murphy, our sales and service departments, I have programmed a top of the line customer interface. Right now, I am working with multiple designers to incorporate a Stage V engine into one package, another ground up redesign including 5 engines and 3 airends and designing a way for the customer to have a infinitely variable pressure/flow output.

Machine use and Safety. Classes of 15-19 students learn how to use the Lathe, Vertical Engine Mill, Surface Grinder, Band saw and various forms of measuring equipment.

I instruct freshman students on the importance of file organization and design flow in regards to CAD with Solid Works 2016 & Inventor 2016. This is an intermediate CAD course that emphasizes on the generation and manipulation of 3D solid models. Topics include: model construction, model editing, model presentation, model to drawing conversion and advanced dimensioning practices. Problems solved in this class require the application of logical problem solving techniques and the use of good CAD practices.

At Sound Technologies I had the opportunity to do start to finish project management. I was involved with the scheduling of quoting, CAD drawing, material acquisition, production, inspection, shipment and installation. I would do the CAD work and go through a approval process with a PE, customer and a Sound Engineer. I would then get the material quoted from various suppliers and work with the operations manager on approval and write the PO's and schedule production and delivery of materials. I would then personally do an initial inspection of parts prior to welding by the welding personnel. While keeping close eyes on production, I would arrange and schedule shipment to the customer.
