I am in my final year of a Bachelor of Computer Science at the University of Canterbury, where I've gained proficiency in various programming languages and tools. Recently, I've developed a strong interest in front-end and full-stack development, and I'm eager to pursue opportunities in these areas.My academic journey has equipped me with a solid foundation in computer science principles, which I've complemented with practical experience. I recently completed an internship with the International Relationship Department at the University of Canterbury, where I worked on data visualization projects using Power BI. This experience enhanced my skills in organizing and presenting data, which I believe will be valuable in creating user-friendly web interfaces.Prior to my university studies, I worked as an electrical apprentice and electrician at New Zealand's Aluminium Smelter (NZAS) for over three years. This role improved my problem-solving abilities, logical thinking, and capacity to work effectively under pressure and in team environments. These skills are directly applicable to the collaborative and fast-paced nature of web development projects.I also have experience in retail management from my time at 2 CHEAP Dollar shop, where I developed strong organizational and customer service skills. This background has given me insights into user needs and preferences, which I believe will be beneficial in creating intuitive and effective user interfaces.I'm excited to leverage my diverse skill set and experiences in front-end or full-stack development roles.
