Joshua Bekerman is a database analyst at National Jewish Health in Denver who has more than 20 years fundraising data management experience. Josh began his nonprofit career by volunteering at bike- and walk-a-thons which led to his first job at a small nonprofit. His interest in data management began there by accident because “he knew more about computers” than anyone in the office. Since that time Josh has worked for nonprofits, including the American Museum of Natural History, Hospital for Special Surgery, and American Indian College Fund, in New York City and Denver. A seven-time Blackbaud conference (bbcon) presenter, Josh enjoys mentoring and helping other fundraising database managers, especially those new to the profession. He is the founder of the Colorado Raiser’s Edge Users Group, an active member of the Blackbaud Community and writes a Crystal Reports tutorial blog.
