During my internship at Acuity, I developed a long-awaited theme switching feature, addressing a backlog item that had been pending for over 600 days. This project involved designing a dark theme palette, retrofitting existing UI components for compatibility, and modifying a module-federated React component to enable seamless theme switching. I also implemented a Node.js endpoint to store user preferences, added comprehensive unit tests with Jest, and configured multiple applications to support the new functionality. Towards the end of my internship, I contributed to bug resolution and minor feature enhancements across both React and Node.js applications.

I conducted research related to the Department of Energy's RENEW project to research and design tools for autonomous scientific laboratories. I made use of technologies such as the Unity game engine, C#, and ROS (short for Robot Operating System) to create a simulated environment where we could task robots to complete customized assignments in an automated manner.
