These days, I'm mostly playing baritone saxophone and singing. Supervisor: Ashwin KumarInsight is an intensive professional training fellowship, and during its initial 4-week project phase, I built an automated batch processing pipeline that synthesizes historical NYC taxi & for-hire vehicle trips, Citibike trips & station density, and Yelp business statistics. The resulting datasets make it simple to map out ideal locations for Citibike expansion by taxi zone, which was relevant in the summer of 2020, as people began returning to work and entertainment without covid-safe public transit. Supervisor: Gabe GordonI collaborated with Gabe Gordon, the primary Distance Learning Coordinator, to schedule and facilitate video-conference music lessons with students from various parts of the country. My main focus was a rather large contingent we had in Nebraska, which at its height, was asking for 85 lesson blocks per week, and the "site" part of the title referred to my distinct responsibility of being "on-site" for each of those lessons, troubleshooting both local and remote hardware issues. Our hardware was mostly Polycom, and I regularly talked teachers through set-up and troubleshooting via phone.
