I serve a wide range of clients, both paid and pro bono, from individuals and small business to major corporations and municipalities. I advise and counsel clients and, when necessary, aggressively litigate their interests. I represent clients in complex business, insurance, professional liability, entertainment, intellectual property, bankruptcy, data security, and privacy matters before federal and state trial and appellate courts. To ensure my clients receive both excellent and cost-effective legal services, I have supervised expert witnesses, managed junior associates, taken and defended depositions, drafted pleadings, motions and briefs, and argued before federal and state courts and agencies, and in the International Court of Arbitration. I have helped clients to avoid or resolve disputes without litigation as well, in both mediations and arbitrations, and by other creative means tailored to their unique circumstances.

App. 2013);* Secured $60 million insurance recovery for client – County of San Bernardino v. Pac. Indem. (C.D. Cal. 2015);* Defended and procured insurer-funded settlement of several high profile lawyers’ professional liability claims.

Student Director, Supreme Court Clinic - our clinical team successfully petitioned for certiorari, briefed and argued Negusie v. Holder, 555 U.S. 511 (2009).Member, Yale Law School Affirmative Litigation Project, developed project with San Francisco City Attorney and California Dep't of Insurance to investigate insurance industry abuses.

Performed econometric and other analyses used by California Department of Insurance to revise title insurance regulations. Assisted California Earthquake Authority with evaluation of rates, structure of insurance program. Analyzed potential disparate impact of bond fund distribution for LAUSD. Investigated energy trading by California Independent System Operator.
