What began as a love of music and complex systems led me to a career as an expert acoustician then design team project leader. Over the past 25 years, I’ve worked with hundreds of people, companies, and teams to design state-of-the-art venues all over the world. Together, we’ve created everything from concert halls to sports stadiums to workplaces of the future. Throughout these projects, I’ve especially loved the opportunities to do new things, push boundaries and make spaces more sustainable and useful for all.Now, I’m pivoting — to bringing a better way of working to the design and delivery of capital projects across industry. The way we currently build hasn’t changed at all over the past few decades. And it makes problems, delays, and costs snowball, hampering innovation — studies show that the productivity of America’s construction industry is poor and getting only worse. This dynamic of course hurts project owners, but it has a toxic effect on the industry’s professionals as well.
