As a consulting CIO at the New York Foundling, I was responsible for all aspects of IT including strategic planning, electronic health records, information security, application support, technology infrastructure and telecommunications. Over a 5-year engagement, I took the agency from a staff of 27 IT professionals serving a group of ~1700 users in the NY area and Puerto Rico to serving over 2500 users with 17 full time IT staff.
