Joshua E. Perry (J.D., M.T.S.) is currently Executive Associate Dean for Academic Programs and the Graf Family Professor of Business Law & Ethics at Indiana University's Kelley School of Business in Bloomington where he has been a key leader in Kelley’s ethics initiatives, societal impact efforts, and “Balance” mental wellness programming since 2009.In 2022 he joined the Office of the Dean working closely with the Executive Associate Dean for Faculty and Research on policy development, strategy, and operational oversight for nine departments, consisting of approximately 380 full-time tenured, tenure-eligible, and instructional/non-tenure-eligible Bloomington-based faculty members who teach over 10,000 undergraduates and approximately 3,500 graduate, Ph.D., and executive education students across nearly 30 distinct degree programs School-wide.From 2020-2022 he served as Chair of the Department of Business Law and Ethics where he was responsible for hiring, promotions, curriculum development, programming and scheduling, teaching excellence, assurance of learning, research impact, service opportunities, and all other facets of Departmental leadership. Previously, Josh held the Glaubinger Chair for Undergraduate Leadership and served as Chair of the Undergraduate Program from 2016-2020, where he had Associate Dean-level responsibilities over the curriculum, admissions, academic advising, student experience, diversity initiatives, study abroad, social impact initiatives, honors program, the living-learning center, and the career services office for a population of approximately 8000 students. During his service, the program experienced dramatic expansion in all facets, while repeatedly garnering a Top 10 ranking in the US New & World Report analysis of undergraduate business school programs. The co-author of two textbooks and author or co-author of over thirty published articles, essays, and book chapters, Josh‘s award-winning scholarship exploring ethical and legal issues in a variety of business contexts has appeared in many leading law reviews and peer-reviewed journals. An Academy of Legal Studies in Business “Master Teacher” finalist, three-time winner of the IU Trustees Teaching Award, two-time winner of the Kelley School's Innovative Teaching Award, and elected member of IU's Faculty Academy on Excellence in Teaching, Josh teaches courses at the Kelley School on business ethics, critical thinking, and the legal environment of business to undergraduates and MBA students, in both the residential and online programs.
