In February of 2019 I helped found Floor Plans 3D, where I created the full spectrum of products offered, from floorboards to ceilings, literally. I developed standardized templates that facilitated quick turn around of orders, designed nine full-building sets of interiors, created unique lighting solutions specifically for floor plans, and automated the creation of specific geometries, such as kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities, furniture arrangements, and molding. I expanded the offerings beyond representational plans and into high-end interior renders for visualization for interior design and architectural presentations.

As an art director at Stir Creative Group--a smaller, more 'boutique'-style design firm--I had to have a wide skill set coupled with quick and effective turn around time. With a broad and diverse client base, I've built websites, created and organized catalogs for industrial suppliers (as well as writing the instruction manuals for hundreds of their products), written years worth of blog posts for the house construction industry, created logos and brand identities, coded eBlasts campaigns, edited and typeset books of historical research, built a 3D interior rendering service from scratch, managed multiple social media accounts across the Southeastern US region, retouched photo collections for international furniture suppliers, created infographics for international companies as they focused on expanding into emerging markets, and, yes, designed a whole bunch of t-shirts.Balancing all of this work required significant time management, organizational, communication/customer service and detail-focused skills, which had been finely tuned by my years of work in a more production-focused environment. My skill at creating clean and efficient art files paid off well, allowing me to create or revamp time-saving templates for common jobs.

My wife and I now have our own decorative furniture painting business. We work out of our home and our specialty is reviving old pieces of furniture with fresh coats of paint, decorative and faux finishes, and warm, worn distressed looks. Together we've painted thousands of pieces for many happy clients, and our pieces have been sold in many different stores and have even won awards at art shows.

At Brisco, I ennacted new company-wide procedures that increased efficiency of both art and production departments and reduced errors to 1.2%. My prior experience increased quality of graphics and execution of preexisting graphics; in addition, I assumed responsibility for design and digitizing of embroidered graphics.

At Castle Shirt Company I was able to reach the zenith of high-end screenprinting, working with the most exclusive clients with the most exacting specifications and complicated artwork: Disney, Universal Studios, NASCAR, and more. In the case of NASCAR, sometimes these complicated designs would have be be turned around in a single day because of rush orders for events on the weekend. We always delivered on time.

As Art Department manager, I metered workflow to meet customer demands efficiently and by the next day. Successfully predicting production issues days in advance allowed us to minimize down time and accept more production orders. The trust our high-profile customers had in my high quality art work brought in many exclusive orders.

In my first month at Liberty I broke the record for number of jobs completed in one month by over twice the previous record. I took part in Liberty’s world renowned Research and Development and created techniques that simulated natural materials (alligator/snake skin, leather) created faux-embroidery effects (including beading and sequins) and many other techniques never before seen on a printing press.

ArtFX's art department fed four different printing facilities and I maintained a smooth flow of quick-turn art to all of them. I trained myself to be the only high-end separator in the international company, in addition to creating artwork, branding, and advertising for three in-house resortwear brands and one urban fashion clothing line.
