About Josh Grant

Visionary organizational leader with a passion for driving team success and authentic leadership. I believe in prioritizing genuine relationships to understand what inspires and motivates my teams. My leadership style is constantly evolving, grounded in these core beliefs:• Authenticity as the foundation for effective leadership • Adept coaching entails discerning your team’s strengths and weaknesses, formulating a comprehensive game plan, and executing real-time adjustments for optimal performance.• Fearless organizations can achieve extraordinary results.• Focusing on inputs rather than hyper-focusing on outcomes leads to consistent and sustainable success. • Self-awareness is crucial for addressing potential gaps in teams. • Leaders must relentlessly pursue learning, unlearning, and relearning. • High-performing teams require psychological safety, dependability, clarity, meaning, and collaboration – kudos to Google/Project Aristotle for their insightful research in this area!My journey to this point has been shaped by diverse experiences. After completing my undergraduate degree in Biological Engineering, I embarked on a dynamic career path. I began a master’s degree program in a start-up lab group focused on early data collection in the vascular calcification space. Later, I joined Baxter Healthcare Corporation as a Quality Engineer, where I progressively took on roles in aseptic powder filling technology transfer, operations, continuous improvement, and quality engineering management. My time at Baxter allowed me to make significant impacts across the organization, providing me with a broad understanding and expertise in driving organizational change. At Merck, I embraced operations management in Bulk Drug Substance manufacturing, playing a pivotal role in a new new start-up program. I also led the hiring efforts, interviewing and hiring over 125 operations personnel. These experiences have been instrumental in shaping the leader I am today.Currently, I have the privilege of being the first operations hire in a start-up parenteral operations team. As my team grows to nearly 200 people, I prioritize establishing psychological safety as a foundation for success. Through this approach, my team consistently achieves even the loftiest of stretch goals.Organizational leadership and psychology are my true passions, and I'm always eager to discuss and explore these topics. Don't hesitate to reach out for a conversation!
