About Josh Huisenga

20 years ago I founded Chalkbox Creative, a Seattle branding and graphic design firm. Why design? Because the beautiful and precise arrangement of just about anything—but especially color, type, form, and image—is my happy place. Coincidentally, I have been drawing since I could pick up a crayon.In my happy place here at Chalkbox, my team and I have spent the two decades creating brands, logos, websites, and all manner of print for the good people doing good work we call clients.Why my own shop? Because I get to keep office politics, egos, and other out-of-my-control BS from interfering with client relationships and the creative process. How did I get here? I'm a graduate of Montana State University with a degree in graphic design, which I followed with five years as a designer at Amazon.
