Asset Management Specialist
CurrentThe Asset Management Specialist I is the entry-level class in the professional Asset Management series. Initially under direct supervision, incumbents learn and perform a variety of skilled, journey-level technical tasks related to the asset management program in order to evaluate and mitigate the risks of asset failure and in order to preserve safety and reliability of the Water Authority's assets.The Asset Management Specialist I requires the ability to perform a variety of technical tasks related to the asset management program; read and interpret engineering drawings; learn applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations; use evidence to identify modes of failure and see patterns in asset conditions that could help identify rates of asset failure; troubleshoot digital and physical problems and develop solutions; interpret and utilize plans, maps, and reports; use independent judgment in completing assignments; make field measurements and complete calculations using monitoring and measuring equipment; office equipment including computers and supporting word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications; communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing; establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
