I'm a documentary and commercial director and producer as well as a DP and editor.I specialize in nonfiction and branded content — particularly stories that are complex and nuanced and require thoughtful story craft in addition to polished production. My first documentary, SLOMO (2013) won over a dozen awards, including Best Short Documentary at both SXSW and the International Documentary Association, eventually screening all over the world, and premiering on the New York Times.A few years later, Resurface (2017) a short documentary about surf therapy for combat veterans, which I co-directed, was acquired by Netflix after premiering at Tribeca in 2017. Other short pieces and branded content I've worked on have screened with The Atlantic, National Geographic, Wired, The New Yorker, and at festivals like Banff and Mountainfilm.I've also directed and produced content for Nokia, KIPP, Audi, Digital Realty, Education Elements, Energy Upgrade California, Wine Enthusiast Magazine, the California Olive Commission, and more.
