As a senior leader with 20+ years in healthcare and first-hand experience in international and domestic healthcare markets, I have earned a reputation for strong leadership and catalyzing business growth. My background of working across global markets in the Southeast Asia, India, Middle East and Europe have allowed me to successfully manage high-performing teams and demonstrate my ability to lead complex operational and strategic initiatives.Working for one of the premier pediatric tertiary care hospital in the Western United States, I gained first hand knowledge of the unique challenges that hospitals and provider organizations face in today’s ever-changing healthcare landscape. Taking that foundational knowledge I spent time as Managing Director of Technology for Huntsman Biotechnology Corporation (HBC). There I helped lay the groundwork for the acquisition of $10M in new capital, paving the way for explosive growth. I worked closely with our clinical research teams to apply for global patents and build business cases for cutting-edge therapies and technologies. This experience qualified my transition to United Health Group (UHG). At Optum, UHG’s $113B health services and technology arm, I was continually promoted into more senior leadership roles, including laying the groundwork for global business process outsourcing (BPO). These initiatives lead to more than $130M in savings, a 10% reduction in operational expense. Following these impactful activities, I was recruited to play a critical role in Optum’s global expansion by leading startup operations in the Middle East where, I built strong brand recognition, created strategic partnerships and joint ventures while building crucial relationships with prestigious health regulatory bodies. Whether I am entering new global healthcare markets, focusing on business expansion or tackling a turnaround, or building a start-up I am recognized for catalyzing growth and championing operational improvements by propelling teams to peak performance.
