At Nationwide, I work in the Claims IT BSA on the Guidewire ClaimCenter application and related technologies. For the first part of my tenure in Claims I spent time in the Rapid Response group doing production support. This entailed time-sensitive response to incidents in various production environments, as well as finding and fixing defects in code. More recently, I transitioned on to the ETL team to work on data transformation projects. This work includes designing and implementing modifications in Guidewire ClaimCenter as well as a proprietary Java-based ETL transformation engine.

At Safelite, I worked on a wide variety of technologies. My foray into the autoglass business began when I joined the company to develop a billing application in C++ and FoxPro. During my tenure at Safelite, I also touched Java and .NET development, SharePoint development, and Windows Administration.
