Summer 2024 will be my third summer as an educator at Camp Ramah. I teach all campers, ages 8-17. I design my own curriculum and lessons and contribute to the social, educational, and spiritual aspects of life at camp.

- Coached and supported five direct reports, challenging them to enhance their professional practice and develop in their careers.- Led admissions team that processed over 7000 applicants annually using Salesforce-based candidate management system; hired and onboarded 1,000 Gen-Z AmeriCorps members annually across eight East Coast markets.- Managed and integrated cross-functional hiring team including marketing, government relations, HR, IT, and Program colleagues to update and manage systems, policies, and protocols.- Developed new job descriptions to ensure inclusive language to expand the applicant pool and attract a broader, more diverse set of prospective hires.- Active member of City Year’s Anti-Racist staff affinity community, with a focus on diversity, equity and inclusion and belonging in recruitment and hiring.- Trained and conducted ongoing coaching for colleagues to improve candidate interviews to ensure interviews are strengths-based and low-inference, mitigating an interviewer’s inherent biases.

As Director of Makor, a supplementary community middle school of almost 150 students and six partner synagogues, I managed all educational and administrative aspects of the program, including: hiring, supervision, and development of faculty; oversight of $225,000 budget; re-design of schedule and curricula to align with new educational objectives; expansion of synagogue partnerships, growing student enrollment by 32% in two years; establishment of innovative tuition model, increasing partner satisfaction and financial sustainability; development of strategic business plan focused on enrollment growth, educational excellence, and financial sustainability. Also taught courses, including: Case Studies in Jewish History, Introduction to Jewish Music, and 7 Jewish Habits of Highly Effective Teens.As lead staff for Hevruta, managed the successful launch of a groundbreaking Israel gap year program - a first-of-its-kind, pluralistic experience for both American and Israeli post-high school students. Directed national recruitment effort; designed and managed applicant interview process; led effort to define mission, vision, programmatic objectives, and core values; coordinated collaborative curriculum development for academic courses teaching modern Israel, the American Jewish experience, Jewish philosophy, and Jewish literature.I built the Public Event portfolio from the ground up, directing all aspects of operations, including concept development, scheduling, vendor relationships, promotion, registration, live facilitation, and evaluation. Events brought over 1,000 unique participants to Hebrew College’s campus. Managed inter-departmental committee increased programmatic collaboration; new adult learning series established a core of committed ongoing learners. Follow-up with event participants cultivated deeper relationships in the form of philanthropy, matriculation in degree programs, and participation in ongoing adult learning.

Directed congregation's Hebrew School (K-7) and facilitated programming for youth and young families.Demonstrated success in supervision and development of teachers, inclusion of students with special needs, development of programming for Shabbat and holidays, and budget development and management.Re-designed Hebrew School curriculum with a values-based model, integrating formal and experiential approaches into school’s learning. Successfully established new lay leadership for the school and youth programming - built productive and trusting relationships with parents and colleagues.

Exhibited leadership and excellence as part of the Jewish community's leading pluralistic teen movement.Served as a lead professional in researching and developing the organization's five-year strategic plan; guided organization's growth in high school participation and expansion to the middle school audience; mentored and supervised teen leadership; consulted to field colleagues on programmatic best practices; and taught leadership and Judaic curriculum at intensive weekend and summer programs.Selected to the first cohort of BBYO’s Professional Development Institute (PDI) - worked full-time; earned an MBA in nonprofit management and a Masters in Jewish Education; and partnered with professional mentors.

Taught Hebrew language and American Jewish History to 5th-grade students twice a week. Developed lesson plans, evaluated students, and met with parents to discuss student progress.

Led a five-week issues-education experience for high school students. Developed and taught lessons; facilitated discussion and debate on political and social issues on-site (civil rights history in Atlanta, American-Israel relationship in DC, immigration in California, gun control in Colorado, etc.); and managed interpersonal conflicts among the participants.
