In 2015, my sister-in-law decided to quit her full-time job in order to fully invest in her part-time bookkeeping business. She was very successful, very quickly. She soon needed help keeping up with all of the work. At Nedda Tax Accountant I was primarily responsible for the reviewing and finalizing income tax returns for both business and individual clients from a wide variety of industries. In addition to taxes, I was responsible for managing the office staff and working directly with the clients; preparing compiled financials, processing payroll, preparing payroll tax and sales tax returns.In addition, I prepared tax projections and provided consulting services to clients. I had the great pleasure to help business owners make informed decisions on tough situations, such as whether to hire new employees, purchase new assets, or throttle services. In addition, I consulted with clients on everyday business problems, finding better ways they can track job profitability, manage cash, track inventory, and retain employees.I was also fortunate enough to act as a Controller for a local multi-million dollar contractor while they were in transition. This involved supervision of accounting staff, and working directly with the owner and their investors to ensure jobs were profitable, and that all departments were aligned with company goals.

At Henry and Horne I was primarily responsible for the preparation of income tax returns for both business and individual clients from a wide variety of industries. This included working directly with the clients; preparation of compiled financials, processing payroll, preparation of payroll tax reports and sales tax reports.While at Henry and Horne I had the great pleasure of acting as Controller for a large restaurant client while they were in transition. This involved supervision of accounting staff, and working directly with the owner and their consultant to ensure they had the numbers needed to make sound, financial decisions. While here, I greatly increased the efficiency of various procedures through the use of Excel Macros, resulting in greatly reduced preparation time and increased accuracy.

At Padgett Business Services, I was primarily responsible for working directly with small business clients in order to clean up their accounting and prepare their business and personal income tax returns. This also included processing payroll, preparing payroll tax returns, and sales tax returns for the small business clients.I also networked networked directly with small business owners through different networking groups and associations. The biggest avenue that we used was the Gilbert Chamber of Commerce, where I served as a Facilitator of our weekly networking group. In addition, I was an ambassador for the Gilbert Chamber of Commerce in order to help new members of the Chamber network and grow their business.With my extensive IT background and knowledge, I also served as an IT Consultant for the firm. Helping decide which hardware needed to be replaced, what software best filled a particular need, and solving the ever so common printer problems.
