Personal Property Remediation Team Lead for the US Coast Guard. Responsible for the correct financial accounting and all property-related balance sheet management assertions for more than $9B of USCG owned personal property.

I graduated from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University in May 2011 with an MBA in Accounting, Finance, and Management.

I was a team member in in the Office of Financial Transformation and Compliance in the Audit/Process Remediation Branch on the Capitalized Personal Property & Real Property Team. I was responsible for providing audit-ready original book values for all of the Coast Guard's acquisition, construction, and improvements projects conducted from 1969-2009. This process spanned searching through original CG budget requests, Congressional hearings and passed appropriation bills, OMB appropriation and apportionment documentation, and then final project approval and completion within the CG. The original book values for these capital projects would allow the CG to have a supported value to depreciate on the balance sheet as they currently could not defend the values presently shown on the balance sheet. I was also the team leader for a project that verified all data fields in the CG's financial management system for over 1400 of the CG's small boat assets and prepared this asset class for the audit at the end of the fiscal year. I was also responsible for the training, mentoring, and immediate supervision of an undergraduate intern on the same team.

Second in command of the cutter. Conned (navigated) the cutter during 100+ close aboard direct assists breaking out commercial vessels hove to in the ice-stricken waterways of the upper Great Lakes during the winter months. Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the cutter and crew, proactively lead 18 men through 2 extremely succcessful ice breaking seasons, garnering multiple awards and recognition from the maritime community for our efforts.

Conned (navigated) the cutter during more than 50 mooring evolutions, the servicing of more than 75 aids to navigation, and gained 1000+ hrs of open water steaming experience while operating from British Columbia to the equator in the Eastern Pacific Ocean.
