That was what my father has always taught me since I was a child, instilling in me the invaluable lesson that true learning stems from active pursuit, transforming mistakes into insights, and unwaveringly advancing forward. My name is Joshua MacPherson; I am an entrepreneur and investor with years of experience in the manufacturing industry. My familiarity with the sector has provided me with insights into its fluctuations and challenges. I have grown up learning about manufacturing in my grandfather's plant, embodying the philosophy my father imparted to me about the essence of learning through goals and setbacks. Leveraging my university years, I blended my academic pursuits with immersive experiences across diverse factory roles, later transitioning into office positions. This journey has enabled me to understand the comprehensive complexities of managing a manufacturing plant while staying true to the profound emphasis on active learning and continuous improvement that is deeply ingrained in my upbringing. In the year I finished university my grandfather sadly passed away it was during this time I decided to establish a real estate investment company focused on purchasing multifamily real estate. Through determination and perseverance I amassed a 7 figure real estate portfolio. For some time, I was wondering what I wanted to do next, and I realized I had an itch to run my own manufacturing plant. I founded MacPherson Capital INC. to collaborate with manufacturing company owners who are looking to sell their businesses due to retirement, career shifts, or a waning passion for their ventures. We acquire, restructure, manage and grow manufacturing companies. We analyze and purchase companies that project steady growth over the next decade for our investors. In buying and transitioning Canadian manufacturing companies, we help save the existing jobs and ensure the creation of new ones by buying businesses who need to sell to the next generation of entrepreneurs.
