Areas of responsibility-- Initial client contact-- Initial budget and SOW negotiations-- Estimating of goods and labor-- Suggesting alternative methods and/or ideas if needed to meeting a particular budget-- Design interation.-- Rendering and Comping full Scene Sets-- Adjusting the labor and materials based on availability (sometimes daily) -- Finalizing an Estimate, Scope of Work, and payment schedule-- Sourcing all materials and keeping up with the logistics of receipt-- Organizing material for the project-- Hiring of labor on a day to day basis-- Drafting of all needed sheets and drawings for approval and fabrication (2D and 3D)-- Multiple daily checkins with the work crews to check on build quality, timeliness, and accuracy-- Coordinating logistics if the items will be shipped-- Coordinating logistics if the item will be installed-- Leading all major installations: accurate to the approved build drawings-- Adjusting to any approved onsite modifications-- Leading all major Strikes-- Finalizing the project payments-- Leaving the client happy and ready to send over the next projectNormally carrying about 5-10 small to medium projects at one time in varying stages.Or, 1-3 larger projects at one time in varying stages.General Shop Responsibilities:-- Shop Organization-- Shop cleanliness-- Materials (tracking and sourcing)-- Managing any shop updates (short and long term)-- Shop safety-- Tool upkeep
