I consider myself a unique blend of human-being with a robust history in multiple industries ranging from operations and logistics to project management and system design. Being on the ground floor of several successful startups has instilled in me a drive for innovation while utilizing all my resources to their fullest. Our successes and failures propelled me on a once-in-a-lifetime journey where I was able to see with clarity the complex decision-making that can be taken to minimize risk, maximize production and keep the team coming to work happy. Through all of this, I leveraged my experience in computer architecture and automation to expand our understanding of the smallest details of the many different systems and increase the value of data collected throughout scientific trials and environmental monitoring. I am focused on simple solutions that pull from the existing industry's knowledge and utilize components that have been tested by processes already ironed out in other applications and systems. I am a builder both in heritage and trade so I value quality work done with a creative eye and a strong base of time-tested best practices.For the past few years, the focus has been the world of cloud-based development and the ever-expanding sector of IoT applications. This has allowed for solutions to challenges that necessitated both growth and reflection in the world of machine learning and natural language processing. Whether it’s containerizing a cluster of microservices for deployment or design and installation of a complex sensor system I find continuous fulfillment in removing blockers through deep learning and perseverance towards an elegant solution. Outside of the matrix 😂, My wife and I live in a vintage 1962 Airstream we restored 6 years ago and I work in a 1962 Forrester Camper I converted to an office. We love to travel with our two wonderful dogs in search of new climbing destinations and enjoy hydroponic gardening in our yard when we are around the house. I love learning new skills and taking on new projects so there’s usually 1 or 2 of those around my office or yard that keep me learning and growing while enjoying my flow states.
