In my time at this small company, I learned to wear many hats at the same time. I particularly enjoyed working directly with teachers and staff to create solutions for their data needs and bringing back what I learned to become features in the platform. A few of my technical highlights are:Cost effective scaling:• Researched and implemented both code and configuration changes to get our .net core microservices to scale out on azure automatically. • Reduced our average hosting costs by 63% while servicing higher concurrent users. Observability at scale:• Implemented a Grafana (LGMT) based solution to monitor all aspects of our system with easy to browse and change dashboards. • Modified existing applications and created .net & GO metric gathering applications to monitor custom aspects of our applications.Data Integration & Onboarding:• Created direct data integrations for almost every major SIS vendor in use in Southern California. Some clients had enrollment/section changes synchronized every 5 minutes. • Implemented SSO solutions for students and staff onboarding/SSO through ClassLink, Cleaver, Google and Microsoft. • Developed systems to ingest data from other platforms to display them inside of our system, such as STAR, Acadience Reading, and CAASPP data. • Made onboarding for some customers as easy as 2 emails exchanges with IT or 10-minute phone call. Generative AI:• Helped to craft and create the foundations for our AI Item content authoring experience in the assessment platform. (LLM) State-Wide SELPA Project (SIL): • Worked on a state grant backed project to create an interactive tool to help school districts identify deficiencies in their Special Ed Infrastructure. • Created tools to help staff easily investigate their performance plan data to derive action plans (and upload new/non public data).• Most school districts in the state have used these tools at least once a year.

Was the first point of contact for customers with advanced questions and problems for the MTSS solution, SHAPE Behavior. Received, evaluated, refined and prioritized feature requests for our products through many channels.A few of my technical highlights were: Reworked all the reports – Implemented a categories system that allowed districts to quickly navigate slices of their data and then dive into the slices inside all of our existing reports. Progress Monitoring - Created a progress monitoring system that got staff to want to stop using google sheets. This allowed us to then report on the effectiveness of their intervention programs at scale. Health Referrals – Created a health referral workflow inside our application that any staff can use. This allowed us to directly share with healthcare professionals all of the behavioral and academic information about a student and then communicate outcomes of their visits and surveys back to the school safely.
