3 week contract job - Judson Smith hired me to complete some projects they needed done. Here's the scope of what was complete.Overall: Design various machinery with different carving and grooving techniques that provide the type of groove on a medical tubing used in medical industry required per customer requirements using AutoCAD and occasionally Solidworks.Tasks:Redesign Roll Groove Assemblies by exchanging parts from one roll groove assembly to another taking dimensions from the new assembly on another machine and drawing up a new model for the current assembly.Designed a slide groove assembly to be installed on a platform which include a slide pin (to carve the groove in the tubing), slide base, provide flexible mobility of slide and design dowel pin stops for accuracy, precision, and prevent the slide groove from falling off the platform.Added a support system which include a mount, brackets, bushing, adjustable screw, and a ball bearing to prevent the tubing from slipping.Updated a drawing of an older machine which has went through a lot of upgrades to its platform and these changes had to be made in order to install a safe guard assembly around the machine, equipped with interlocks using hydraulic mechanisms for lifting the guard for manual operation and adjustments.
