In-house hardware expert and researcher in BREAKERSPACE, a new research lab at UMD to help scale undergraduate research in the area of computer and network security. Performed work in measuring and securing Internet of Things (IoT) devices.

Worked alongside the club Secretary and Competition Team Lead to help organize meetings, discuss internal operations and logistics, and maintain the CSEC Lab space. Managed corporate relations and campus outreach. Directed the vision and purpose of the organization, addressing the needs and desire of both undergraduate and graduate students at UMD. Developed challenges and managing logistics for the UMDCTF hosted each spring.

UMDCTF is the annual cybersecurity competition event created and hosted by students in the Cybersecurity Club at University of Maryland, College Park. Teams of 5 compete side-by-side in various challenges created by UMD students in the Cybersecurity Club that will test their speed, knowledge, and skill in various areas of cybersecurity. Challenges are solved when users find the “flag”, a string of text which gives them points proportional to the difficulty of the challenge.

Wrote newsletters to keep the General Body informed of club activities, tech talks, and job opportunities. Reached out to companies to organize guest speaker opportunities. Designed course material for Cryptography and Binary Analysis for CMSC389R: Introduction to Ethical Hacking. Introduced hash cracking, PGP, hash length extension, reading and writing x86-64, buffer overflows, basic ROP, and disassemblers to second and third year students. Co-taught with two to three other students in the Spring of 2018, Fall of 2018, and Spring of 2019.

Helping to develop a web application to facilitate prize assignment by eliminating "race conditons" for eligible projects at Technica. Focusing on endpoint security and login authorization.

Performed a full-spectrum vulnerability assessment on a security system. Analyzed discrete hardware components, wireless data, web API endpoints and mobile application features. Designed a custom PCB to facilitate firmware extraction.

Developed firmware modifications for the Particle Photon microcontroller to enable network bridging between the access point and station interfaces in C/C++. Helped to develop an anonymous relay-based communications network in likeness of TOR. Presented this project in front of several judge panels against 100+ other intern teams.
