My name is Joshua Sobel, and I’m from Washington, DC. I currently attend Indiana University and I am enrolled in the Kelley School of Business, majoring in marketing and entrepreneurship. At The Kelley School of Business, I am eager and motivated to continue to grow my wide array of skills and get hands-on experience in the business world. I am furthering my commitment to growing professionally by being involved on campus through multiple clubs and organizations. As a member of Kelley School of Business Clubs, such as Business Leadership Initiative (BLI), I can continue to develop my communication and networking skills while also learning valuable information from admired and respected business leaders in the United States. Along with other activities, such as the Indiana University Men's Ultimate Frisbee Team, I continue to develop as a player while also being able to adapt to unexpected challenges thrown my way while working as a team to achieve a common goal.For as long as I can remember, the concept of marketing has fascinated me since I was a young kid walking around Times Square, looking up at the massive billboards. Through my freelance graphic design business, I’ve been able to develop and polish my communication skills, effectively understand consumer behavior, and use my creativity to market my business to consumers successfully. I was fortunate enough to grow up in inner-city Washington, D.C., and experience firsthand the wildly different groups of people and cultures around me most of my childhood. Through my experiences growing up in a large city, I acquired an ability to improvise and adapt to whatever was thrown at me, which will translate to the work I perform in the workplace.
