Joshua is a filmmaker, educator, and sensory experience curator. He is founder of Eyespot Films and Liminal Sessions with offices in Lisbon, Berlin, and New York. He is also an IB Film teacher and private student mentor.Eyespot Films is a film production company that explore boundaries between documentary and fiction and focus on identity, migration and climate change.Liminal Sessions curates sensory experiences immersed in nature and infused with storytelling.Currently in-production is feature documentary 'Connecting' examines the senses through characters whose lives were transformed through them. One lost smell, another taste and each transcend understandings of memory and emotion. This feature film creates an experience of sensorial connection, offering ways to reconnect more deeply. Germany, Spain, Portugal, Japan, U.S.A.International award-winning films include 'Morin Khuur (The Horsehead Fiddle)', ‘20,000 Cycles’ inspired by Nikola Tesla and feature documentary ‘Fool in a Bubble’. Joshua has worked in United States, Czech Republic, Philippines, China, Germany, and currently Portugal. His background as a Polish-Belarus American enriches his international perspective. Joshua holds a MA in visual art education from New York University and a BA in Film Studies at Columbia University. He taught IB Film Studies at International School Manila & Shanghai Community International School. Joshua was recently selected as a VII Agency Photographer and Kodak Filmmakers Award recipient. With each incarnation, Joshua’s mission has consistently been to create and share personal, thoughtful, entertaining stories. His background as filmmaker and educator informs a unique understanding how story and causal intent are juxtaposed. In addition, he is also a devoted activist and supporter of environmental innovations.
