Recent Graduate at the University of Alabama in Huntsville with a major in Aerospace Engineering and expected graduated date of December 2022. I have over two years of engineering experience broken up between WEIR ESCO and Teledyne Brown Engineering. The majority of my experience has been on a design team working primarily in the Hypersonic field. The rest of my experience was as a safety engineer. In these roles I have experienced using software and programs like Solid Works, Solid Works PDM, Python, MATLAB, XFoil, Excel, Microsoft Visual Basic, 3D Printing, Solid Edge. In addition to my engineering experience I also posses 5 years of aircraft maintenance experience on turboprop engines on the WC-130J aircraft in the Air Force Reserves where I currently serve as a Staff Sergeant. Beyond my technical experience as an engineer and aircraft technician I have served in a multitude of leadership roles. During my military training I was given the role of "red rope", or squadron leader where I supervised over 600+ airmen and received a letter of appreciation from my commanding officer. During college I have served as the president of our campus NAACP chapter, SGA senator and SGA Chief of Staff, DISA Chair, Leadership Fellows Mentor, President of the Rho Chi Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., as well as other smaller group roles to help improve quality of life on campus and in the community. Currently I am looking for roles as an intern, co-op employee, or part-time employee doing research and development work for defense contracts or space exploration contracts.
