With extensive involvement throughout my collegiate journey, I have fostered an innovative and entrepreneurial mindset in approaching new, and challenging media projects. Experiences and opportunities have strengthened technical and theoretical skills in media creation across all mediums, leading to state and national award recognitions. But my approach to media is simple. Regardless of the medium, media is all about storytelling. In order to tell a good story, one must be able to listen. My storylistening approach has led to unique angles which uncover unsee perspectives. Recently, I have used this approach throughout a six month filming process for a docuseries I am producing. By following a small-town dirt track racer, I immersed myself in the heart of the action to uncover the hidden life racers live beyond the wheel. Additionally, a Digital Media Manager position with the Buena Vista University volleyball team allowed me to showcase athlete personalities and build community support. In doing this, my knowledge of social media usage and strategic implementation of messages grew tremendously by monitoring analytics. A trial by fire mindset gives me no fear in approaching new projects, no matter how daunting. Maintaining an innate level of curiosity, I am eager to embrace each opportunity that comes my way.
