Project Manager for a boutique architecture firm specializing in heirloom quality residential design. Management responsibilities on projects from start to finish including: staffing coordination/mentoring, client relations, cost estimating, design, construction documents and construction administration. The position required a dedication to architectural detailing: construction/waterproofing details, interior design of millwork, cabinetry and specialties. Role as Construction Specialist within the firm provided experience with remediation on multiple projects that suffered construction defects. Remediation work provided experience with on-site damage investigation, preparation of drawings/specifications as required for mitigating damage and coordination of construction during the remediation for future prevention.

Sustainability and green design is a natural extension of wholeness-based thinking and is integrated into every studio project.Experience with commercial and residential architecture. Project management experience as the lead on multiple construction document sets including consultant coordination, project scheduling, preparing addendum for bid documents, writing & drafting construction bulletins, shop drawings, project budget tracking, vendor negotiation, drafting client fee proposals, construction administration, preparation of punchlists, organizing record drawings and client relations/marketing. Office management experience with weekly project scheduling, development of 6-month work forecast, office drafting standards, computer program training and event coordination.

Experience with: hand & computer drafting (site plans, floor plans, elevations, construction documents and perspectives), topographic/architectural models for presentation, 3d Viz renderings (site plans and perspectives), site measurements, and presentation layouts.

Josh has an affinity for wood construction and forestry, stemming from his life long experience with designing and constructing custom cabinetry. Particular interests include sustainable forestry practices, traditional joinery, research of engineered wood products and utilization of unique characteristics for particular wood species.Design & Construction of Custom Cabinetry: Proficient in building custom cabinetry. Skills with manufacturing include: wood selection, layout planning, finish work, spraying, and assembly with an emphasis on time management and waste control. Design experience involved working with job layouts, styles and sizing. Management responsibilities included training new employees, equipment calibration and CNC operation.
