U.S. Army Soldier Recovery Unit– Assists severely wounded, ill and injured Soldiers, Veterans and their Families throughout their recovery and transition. RCC strives to foster the Soldier’s independence, through the local support of an RCC. Soldiers who qualify for RCC are assigned to the program as soon as possible after arriving at the SRU.

The Transition Coordinator acts as a member of the warriors care team. The TC integrates Career and Education Readiness activities for all eligible warriors, focusing on the career domain of the comprehensive transition plan.

Greater Seattle Area

During my time at the Seattle Regional Office, I worked on the Public contact team working with Veterans on a day in day out basis. Assisting with benefits and access to claim related questions. I served as the subject matter expert for websites that are ran by the Department of Veterans Affairs. Websites like vets.gov and e benefits. Further more I assisted in creating a Outreach plan for the regional office specifically targeting Justice Involved Veterans and LGBT-Q Veterans. Assisting in creating networks of support.

Provide professional policing and security support across a full range of military operations.• Performed patrols, guarded and inspected areas, and monitored access to facilities.• Conducted building inspections and ensured employee accountability• Designed, implemented and instructed military tactics, weapons, explosives, night vision devices, radios and emergency medicine. • Provided for public safety by maintaining order, responding to emergencies, protecting people and property, enforcing motor vehicle and criminal laws, and promoting good community relations.• Monitored, noted, reported, and investigated suspicious persons and situations, safety hazards, and unusual or illegal activity in patrol area. • Identified, pursued, and arrested suspects and perpetrators of criminal acts. Issued citations or warnings to violators of motor vehicle ordinances.
