About Joshua Weinstein

Joshua is clean energy executive and offshore wind specialist, with a strong leadership track record, focused on operations, strategic planning, and business development. Joshua has led multidisciplinary teams, in both a direct and functional management capacity, in the renewable energy and grid infrastructure sectors. Joshua has over 16 years of industry experience driving growth for new-to-market technologies, business development, project development and business leadership. As President of Offshore Wind Americas at bp, Joshua is representing bp’s interests is the Empire and Beacon Wind projects (in joint venture with Equinor) as well as leading new business opportunities. Prior to bp, Joshua was Senior Vice President and Head of Offshore Development for Invenergy, encompassing a clean sheet business venture which resulted execution of a long term strategic plan, hiring of a bespoke team, and acquisition of two offshore wind projects. Joshua has also held the position of Head of Department (VP), Power System Planning, for the North American business unit of DNV, and VP of Business Development and Operations at Principle Power. Joshua has a long history working in the offshore wind industry developing a robust pipeline of projects, commercializing a new-to-market offshore wind technology, and securing several multi-million-dollar private placement investments and public technology development grants.
