As a work center manager I was responsible for three personnel. I was the lead trainer for members of my shop as well as a trainer for the other members of our maintenance section. I was responsible for coordinating the site design including tent location, power and grounding grid layout, air conditioning requirements, security requirements, transportation for inbound personal, logistics for transportation of assets once in the deployed location. I was hand selected by the Maintenance Superintendent to come to work for the 4th Space Control Squadron. Here I work on generators, heating and air conditioners (A/C), I am also in charge of designing site power grids. My goal in this role was to aid Airmen in their transition from a student mind set to a ready to work Airmen who applies there newly learned knowledge to contribute to the mission of the unit they are assigned to. I was directly responsible for members filing safety mishap forms, coordinating and documenting annual safety training, and monthly safety briefings for over 350 personnel. I conducted weekly safety shop visits and ensured shops were conducting business within OSHA and Air Force safety regulations. During this time I attended the OSHA 10-Hour Occupational Safety and Health Training course. During 2011 I also completed my Community College of the Air Force Associates degree in Applied Science. F.E. Warren AFB in Cheyenne, Wyoming was my second duty station. During my time at here I promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant/E-5 and graduated from Airmen Leadership School. I also received an Air Force Achievement Medal for my contributions towards the base passing the nuclear surety re-inspection in March 2009.

Okinawa Japan was my first duty assignment as a trained AGE apprentice. While stationed here I earned my Journeyman title and promoted to the rank of Senior Airmen/E-4. I also was the swing shift lead for 18 months and supervised two subordinates on swing shift. I attended six field training detachment courses totaling over 230 Hours of formal training on flight line support equipment. I was also tasked to deploy twice while in Japan, once to Daegu, South Korea and once to Eielson AFB, Alaska.

This time period was the beginning of my military career. I was stationed at Lackland AFB for basic training and then I was stationed at Sheppard AFB for my six month technical school. At Aerospace Ground Equipment technical school I learned sound maintenance practices, fundamentals of electrical and electronic circuits and components, power generation, heating and air conditioning, pneumatic compressors, hydraulic systems, and multiple miscellaneous flight line support equipment.
