Help Desk Technician
CurrentAs a Level 2 IT technician, my primary responsibility is to provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues. I work closely with end-users to diagnose and resolve technical problems, either remotely or in person, ensuring that issues are resolved in a timely and effective manner. I also work closely with other members of the IT team to assist with tickets that have been escalated from level 1 whenever needed.In this role, I am responsible for maintaining and updating the company's hardware and software systems, including servers, desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripheral devices. I am also responsible for monitoring the network and ensuring that all systems are operating efficiently and securely. Additionally, I am in charge of managing user accounts and access permissions, as well as ensuring data backups and disaster recovery procedures are in place and functioning correctly.On a day to day basis I closely with other members of the IT team to ensure that internal policies and procedures are followed, and that all systems are kept up to date with the latest patches and security updates. I am also in charge of maintaining accurate documentation of all department-related processes and procedures.My success in this role can be attributed to my strong technical background in IT support, including experience with operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), networking, hardware troubleshooting, and software applications. I also possess excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users in a clear and concise manner.Overall, as a Level 2 IT technician, I play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of the organization's IT infrastructure, enabling end-users to work effectively and efficiently while maintaining the security and integrity of the company's data and systems.
