• Managed a team of eight software engineers and all aspects of design, development, implementation, and maintenance of a custom built client/server based perioperative information system, as well as overseeing day to day operations of our system to ensure effective and efficient patient care in the perioperative arena.• Led the development and implementation of a Perioperative Information Management System (VPIMS), which was later commercialized.• Used Application Lifecycle Management techniques including agile development, holding daily scrum meetings, etc.• Maintained close, working relationships with anesthesiologists and nurses who helped to define the needs of the software for development.• Strong understanding of perioperative systems and how they are utilized in the clinical setting. • Consistently implemented Quality Assurance standards through encouragement of good programming practice and testing of software modifications.
