As a laborer, my main duties included coordinating work teams during harvest to optimize operation logistics, operating agricultural and construction equipment to perform necessary functions, performing routine maintenance checks on machinery to prolong vehicle life, and utilizing Microsoft Excel to record financial and production data.

As an integrated supply chain intern, I worked within the II&I Improvements team, where I participated in several projects to benefit Dow’s Industrial Solutions and Polyurethanes businesses.The first project I recieved required me to collaborate with Polyurethanes’ external manufacturing partners to obtain the requirements for customers to perform their own loading appointments. Once I obtained these requirements, I integrated them into an existing repository created for the Industrial Solutions business so that the tool could be used all across II&I. Through this project, I took part in the expansion of a tool that would increase employee and customer experience for the business going forward.Yet another project I participated in was an analysis of freight & logistics operations for the Industrial Solutions business. This analysis primarily consisted of utilizing Dow’s central database and Microsoft Excel to compare Dow’s transportation target values for various modes of transportation with their actual values for 2023. Through this project, my team and I noted specific products and customer accounts that provided the greatest opportunities for improvement going forward.Lastly, I participated in a series of efforts that dealt with the issue of long-standing dwells for rail fleets belonging to the Polyurethanes and Industrial Solutions businesses. First and foremost, my team and I created and implemented a dashboard that allowed any individual to view railcars by several filtering options. Secondly, my team and I published an ownership contact list for all subfleets in the Polyurethanes and Industrial Solutions businesses. Lastly, I sent many inquiries regarding railcars belonging to either business that had not moved in more than three months. Through this initiative, as a whole, my team and I created several tools that provide much greater visibility to the businesses’ expansive rail fleet and enable leaner, more efficient management of said resources.

As a global supply chain intern for Colgate-Palmolive, I accelerated the company’s digital transformation initiative for its Tom's of Maine facility by converting existing maintenance documentation into digitized workflows available through the use of an AI-based, connected-worker platform. I also developed and presented a platform adoption plan in collaboration with the global engineering team to improve the team's visibility to the adoption requirements for the site. During this time, I also collaborated with the global engineering team to develop an automated quality approval process prototype for major unplanned maintenance activities to facilitate greater compliance with quality standards internal to Colgate. A major piece of this accomplishment came down to influencing the system parameters for the solution and ensuring that it was implemented properly.
