Quickly realized I needed way more autonomy to work on problems that I care about - so I joined an early-stage tech startup. "Far above his tenure" - Problem-solving and insight performance evaluation.

I built a series of business ventures in my free time that doubled my net worth annually for each of the past 10+ years. How it started: I was selected to compete in an international maths olympiad at age 13, but my parents couldn't afford the flight ticket with our household income of $2/day per person, forcing me to withdraw. Determined to change my financial situation, I registered for a chess tournament and used the prize money I won to start a few small ventures: supplying students with the latest social trending toy/snack/gadget/pet, a science tutoring service, and a chess coaching academy. Two years later, I bought my own plane ticket and attended the International Maths Competition. I also used early business profits to buy my own computer and internet modem so that I could start more interesting technical projects. I created an adventure game, a picture-to-autostereogram converter, and arbitrage trading strategies that were reliably profitable, among other things.
