As an executive board member for the Hiram College Student Senate, I managed email, social media, technology, and website content. I also recorded and documented the weekly Senate meetings and distribute them to campus constituents. Every year I facilitated and oversaw the annual Senate election, which included duties such as developing election packets, distributing materials, and reviewing applications. I also had multiple meetings with the college president. We worked closely on a multitude of higher educational issues ranging from class scheduling to new initiatives that will better help educate students.I also updated the college community with Student Senate activity by serving as a liaison between this entity and all students, organizations, departments, faculty, and staff. I am dedicated in my work and collaborated with four other members on the executive board to promote a positive campus environment for students, professors, and staff members.

The “H-Tech” Manager is in charge of most of the events of campus that require sound and lighting. The most frequent set ups included: concerts, school dances, Homecoming, Springfest, tailgating, Institute Week, and many other campus events. In my role as H-Tech Manager, my duties included: 1) engineering sound and lighting set ups for performances, dances, speakers, and all other campus wide events; 2) supporting over 70 student organizations and many different departments including Athletics, Admissions, and the Office of Campus Involvement through one-on-one sound consultations; 3) creating and implementing new policies and procedures for the usage of Hiram College’s sound equipment; 4) planning, implementing, and assessing many campus wide events including Homecoming, Springfest, Institute Week, and Week of Welcome for all students; 4) and managing concert production at $36,000 for Springfest, Hiram College’s annual all-campus large concert event.I also researched, developed, and budgeted for new sound and lighting equipment in October of 2013. Then, I purchased, constructed, and maintained Hiram College’s sound and lighting equipment.

While holding the position as Office Manger, I created, planned, and facilitated many campus events including Homecoming, Springfest, Institute Week, and Week of Welcome for all students. I also created, maintained, and oversaw the annual TAB budget of $125,000. Other duties included: 1) designing and distribution of advertisements for different mediums on campus; 2) documenting all of the weekly TAB meetings; 3) negotiating and booking artists, novelties, comedians, and performers at the annual National Association for Campus Activities (NACA) National Convention: 4) collaborating with other schools at the NACA National Convention to “block book” and obtain performers at a better rate: 5) and managing and facilitating a wide a variety of miscellaneous events, including Homecoming, Springfest, Distress Fest, Tailgating, Study-A-Thon, and Game Nights.

In addition to running my own sound company, I have worked professionally as a lead sound engineer and stage manager for Urban Communication (UC). UC is a professional Twin Cities based production company. I most recently engineered sound for artists performing before the Minnesota Orchestra during Plymouth's annual "Music in Plymouth" 4th of July celebration. I also worked closely with the firework company to amplify and properly time the musical track associated with the firework show.
