It is then up to me to independently source case studies, interview and write the features. Features have included Alton Towers crash victims, the wife of the World’s Strongest Man and Charity Kase on their HIV diagnosis. • Particular passion for covering mental health stories. Recently worked with two women to write letters to their past suicidal selves about why they should keep living. • Regularly write first person pieces covering everything from my love of Netflix Christmas movies to how my best friend having children affected our relationship. • Regularly write ‘on the ground’ pieces including spending an entire day interviewing multiple people in the queue to see the Queen’s coffin and recreating Kim Kardashian’s gaffer tape outfit. • Produce serious real lives, where I’m entrusted to sensitively handle traumatic stories including homelessness, suicide, abuse and tragic losses. • Adapt my tone for multiple target audiences ranging from 16-70. • Worked important, high pressure digital shifts including the Queen’s funeral and I’m a Celebrity... Get Me out of Here final, where we’re competing with rival titles to get the stories live fastest. • Editing writers' work. • Trained new starters on our systems and the practises. • Happily go above my job title to ensure the smooth running of the team.

• Joined OK! as an Editorial Assistant on maternity cover, before being made a permanent member of staff and promoted. • Secured some of the bigger at home features, weddings and exclusive announcements that are synonymous with the magazine through forming relationships with agents. These included the first big Love Island wedding between Olivia and Alex Bowen, Louise Thompson and Ryan Libbey’s engagement and Andrea McLean following her Loose Women exit. All of these features made best-selling covers. Organised an at home with Susan Boyle in Scotland and the video is OK! most popular YouTube upload at over 3.2 million. • Interviewed on Radio 1Xtra about my role. • Wrote news pages, reviews, travel copy and health features.

• After graduating from university I did internships at various publications, which included Cosmopolitan and Bang Showbiz, resulting in two job offers. • Wrote multiple investigative long read features, including working undercover as a shot girl in Magaluf, becoming a professional party crasher and dating fake sugar daddies. • Took ownership of First Love section which involved reuniting a former couple every month. • After leaving the company I continued to write freelance for Cosmopolitan, as well as for the branded content department.
