My role as Assistant and Acting Manager has been very rewarding because was able to expand my skills and understand the operations and organization needed to run a successful cafe. The professional growth from barista to supervisor and then stepping into a managerial role was extremely valuable because I could better train our staff and manage the administrative responsibilities (sales and labour, orders and deliveries, staff hours, schedules and invoicing) which were all crucial to operating a business. I loved being apart of one of Toronto's best cafes I will take the insights and knowledge I gained from my experience with me into my future projects and professional opportunities.

Responsible for developing the next level of the Student Mentor Program: Career Mentoring. Connected fourth-year students (Career Mentees) with established alumni (Career Mentors). Mentors provided support and guidance for graduating students as they transitioned out of university. It was a privilege to help create meaningful professional connections for our grads and to work in a role that helped me build a strong administrative skill set.

As a workshop facilitator, I organized lessons and assisted with after-school programming and special events. All programs at Story Planet promoted children’s literacy, creativity and access to art. It was a joy to use my artistic skills and public speaking abilities to encourage groups of children to express their creativity. Story Planet also ran an outer-spaced themed cafe which I loved working in as well and where my responsibilities included: open and close of the storefront, being barista and training new staff.

As a photographer: responsible for photo editing, being a proficient sales associate, and demonstrating exceptional customer service.As a station lead: calculated team's hourly sales and labour, trained new employees and managed Glass Floor & Special FX sales teams.

Supervised studio spaces and equipment use during the school year, in both the Integrated Media Department (Toronto) and the OCAD U Florence Campus (Italy).
