About Josipa Petrunic (She/Elle)

The Canadian Urban Transit Research & Innovation Consortium (CUTRIC) is a socially responsible non-profit organization that spearheads, designs, and launches technology and commercialization projects that advance next-generation zero-carbon mobility and transportation solutions across Canada. CUTRIC is Canada's leader in zero-emissions bus (ZEB) modelling, including predictive and empirical analytics, with our cutting edge RoutE.i(TM) tool -- used by dozens of Canadian and American transit systems, including Toronto Transit Commission (TTC), Burlington Transit, London Transit, Cape Breton, Riverside Transit, and Orange County Transportation Authority, among others. CUTRIC develops low-cost simulation tools that help transit agencies across Canada and the United States predict how their electric buses, hydrogen fuel cell buses and autonomous smart vehicles (for first kilometre/last kilometre solutions) will operate in real-time on roads and in service, and our team analyzes real-time ZEB performance using data to determine whether electric bus systems are performing the way they should be.CUTRIC helps to grow the low-carbon and smart technology ecosystem across Canada and North America, leading to job growth and economic development over the long-term. One of our leading projects includes the Pan-Canadian Electric Bus Demonstration & Integration Trial, which focuses on demonstrating the standardization and interoperability of electric buses and overhead charging systems. CUTRIC’s work generates solutions that decrease fuel consumption, reduce emissions, reduce congestion, and improve the quality of life for mobility customers and transit riders. CUTRIC supports its members in the development and commercialization technologies required for a 21st century low-carbon green economy.
