I have worked with Stable Micro Systems since 1994, originally managing the application laboratory where I developed specific texture analysis methods for the food industry. I now hold additional responsibility for business development. In this role, I head the company’s development team, which involves co-ordination of electronic, software and mechanical engineers in the generation of new products. As well as delivering training courses in texture analysis, I regularly write trade press articles throughout the food industry and beyond, and have published several papers based on texture analysis. I hold a degree in food science from Nottingham University (UK) as well as a masters degree in rheology.
