I am a physicist with a focus on theoretical and computational topics. My scientific interests reside in modelling simple and complex systems from first principles, using fundamental physical laws. To that end I use a combination of analytical calculations and numerical simulations. I am very privileged to currently be pursuing PhD studies in Astrophysics at ARI-LJMU, studying dynamical formation mechanisms of black hole mergers and gravitational waves. On the side, I also study heat transport in microscopic systems such as trapped ion chains. I am also interested the rise of quantum computing and information, and in the application of fundamental science to technological innovation, scientific outreach and education. My dedication and motivation to work is showcased by having consistently been awarded funding to pursue my studies from various sources, including research grants from the IAC or the Spanish government, and my scholarship from LJMU. During my studies and work I have acquired a wide range of transversal skills, including programming (mainly in Python and Fortran), parallel computing, data analysis and visualization, and technical writing at different levels of formality. I also have experience as a software developer.
