During my tenure, I have expanded the hotel group from 3 to 6 branches, increased annual turnover, and strengthened the leadership team. Prior to this, I acquired 18 years of corporate experience, the majority of which being in investment banking. I have worked at the local branches of two international banks - French Societe Generale, and Dutch Bank ABN AMRO; and spent 10 years at local banking groups, Nedbank, and ABSA, primarily in client-facing roles.I provide a broad range of skills, underpinned by my passion for the growth, learning, and personal development of others, supported by my coaching and various community leadership roles.I have been a member of Entrepreneurs’ Organisation since 2017, and have spent three years on the board including President of the Johannesburg Chapter in 2021/22. I am also an ICF-accredited Executive Coach and have mentored many coaching students at UCT Business School’s Centre for Coaching. Joined as member of the Johannesburg Chapter in 2017. Appointed to the board of the local chapter as Membership Chair in 2019, Learning Chair in 2020 and President in 2021/22.

Appointed Corporate Coverage Head. Responsible for implementing new processes and procedures for the coverage team. Instrumental in instilling a relationship-based coverage model. Appointed COO Client Coverage within CIB. Transitioned the corporate division into Absa Capital with a clean audit within the first year of the transition.Led a team of operational bankers to pass a Global Barclays-wide FICA audit.

Appointed Team Leader: Corporate Relationship Gauteng responsible for a team of 5 relationship bankers and 5 operational bankers, within a diverse portfolio of corporate clients. Promoted to General Manager and member of the Corporate Exco within my first year. Successfully completed the Integral Coaching Programme offered to select Absa staff. Certified as an accredited executive coach after completing a 1,5 year coaching programme through the Centre for Coaching at the University of Cape Town’s Business School.

Senior banker to large multinational corporates across a spectrum of industries including Toyota, Sun International, Kagiso Media, Super Group and Astrapak. Managed complex Preference Share funding structures, raising in excess of R4bln term debt. Appointed to the Old Mutual Nedbank Bancassurance project for Nedbank Corporate, in collaboration with McKinsey consulting. Took on the personal development of young and aspiring bankers under my wing and formally mentored them. Nominated Top Achiever three years in a row. Won Top Achiever Award for Corporate Banking in 2007.

Responsible for a portfolio of multinational clients in the consumer industry. Clients included British American Tobacco, Truworths, Woolworths, I&J, Distell, Pepkor. I successfully converted I&J relationship from being a purely FX / trade relationship to one where ABN AMRO became the primary banker in SA and other countries. Most significantly, I was appointed Secretary of the Hyundai Standstill Agreement Steering Committee consisting of some 10 banking groups.

Appointed as Manager's Assistant: Corporate Coverage and gained a broad set of banking skills, ranging from credit, trade, FX, guarantees, to structured finance and short-term lending. I was responsible for preparing credit applications for our clients.I gained significant exposure to a broad range of corporate client relationships, ranging from construction, automotive, mining and retail.
