After a career as (legal) translator in Spanish and Portuguese and a career as a lawyer (Refugee and Migration Law), I started the cycling business Fietsdiensten.nl in 2004.I organize events and debates on cycling innovations, cargo bikes, sustainable mobility and sustainability in general. I organised the first cargo bike gathering, BakfietsTreffen, in 2012 in De Vasim in Nijmegen. In 2014 a conference day was added in cooperation with ECLF. The event was renamed to International Cargo Bike Festival (ICBF). In 2018 the ICBF went to Berlin, Germany. In 2019 the ICBF was celebrated in Groningen,14-16 June, 2019. In 2020 we had a digital ICBF and 2021 was skipped because of covid.In 2022 the ICBF joined World of eMobility at EXPO Haarlemmermee and in 2023 we joined Fully Charged Show at RAI Amsterdam. In 22024 the ICBF will take place at Jaarbeurs Utrecht in cooperation with Dutch Cycling Week.Together with Tom Parr we did and do pr & marketing activities through social media for several companies like DOCKR, Fulpra, Paztir, Cargo Cycling, Struin BSO, Battery Control, JobRad, Blubrake, Kleuster Freegones, cargo bike manufacturers in general.In 2020 and 2021 I participated in the "Go Electric project" of the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences & HAN.From 2016 to 2018 I participated in the "LEVV-LOGIC project" of the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. From October 2016 on Tom Parr and I do the RIPPL project, Register of Initiatives in Pedal Powered Logistics supported by the City of Groningen and previously by Connekt and Topsector Logistiek.I am co-initiator of the Dutch Bicycle Centre, member of the Dutch Cycling Embassy, the European Cycle Logistics Federation and of the Vereniging DOET.Previous projectsIn 2016 we wrote a cycling promotion plan for the "Stedendriehoek Region" in cooperation with LoenderslootGroep.For the Radboudumc I did a project on cycling promotion for the more than 9.000 employees of the hospital. More than 50% of the employees bike to work. In 2011-2012 I was project manager for the national cycling scheme 'Fietsen Scoort'.In 2013 I also did public relations and marketing activities for the Elan Racing Team for the WHPSCI co-organised the sustainable mobility market at Duurzaamheidsmarkt Lingewaard, the Cyclelogistics Pavillion at Ecomobiel on 8 & 9 Oct. 2013, the bicyclemarket at UMC St Radboud on 10-10-'13, Sustainability Day, and 'Duurzame Dates Gelderland' at 10-10-'13.
